-Do you make custom items?

-Yes

-If I want you to make a dress for my daughter, what do you need from me?

I would need the following measurements: Waist, Chest, Hips, length from waist to knee.

-When should I order?

If you're planning on having this order for a special occasion, you should give me 4-6 weeks. (This allows time for ordering any supplies we may need.)  I can, however, get something done within 2 weeks as long as we can work with what I have.

-I don't see clothing for the doll I have.  Can you make something for it?

-No promises, but I can do some research and see what I can come up with.  Please keep in mind that a custom piece will likely cost more.

Fabrics

-What is a custom fabric?

-What is the difference between a high quality fabric and a low quality fabric?

Production Time

-How long does it take you to make a product?

Most items can be made in 3-5 days, however this depends heavily on the number of orders I have.

-How do I know if an item is ready to ship?

Look at shipping time frames. If an item is ready to ship, it will say that it ships within 1-2 business days.  If it is not ready and needs to be created, it will ship within 3 business days or more.

-How long will it take you to make a custom piece?

There are a few factors that will affect this.  First, do I need to order fabric or other supplies to make it.  If I have everything I need, it could take up to 2 weeks.  If I need to wait for supplies to arrive, It could take up to 4 weeks or more.  Second, is it a simple make or are there a lot of details?  More details means more time.  Third, much depends on the time it takes to figure out what you want. I will work with you to find the perfect pattern and fabric for you.

I only accept returns if the item I sent is faulty.  I do my best to send out well-made items, but some things gets by me occasionally.

What’s the turnaround time on your products?
It really depends on how many orders I have before yours. For the most part, I get them done and out the door within 3-5 days. For the most part, the post office has been getting packages to you within 3-4 days. Due to COVID, shipping times may be delayed.

If I don’t see something I want, can you make it for me?
Yes, I can. I have made guinea pig clothes, dog bed covers, women’s dresses, and curtains. If it needs to be sewn up, I can do it. If you have a doll that doesn’t fit into the sizes I specialize in, I can make something for you.

Can you make that in my size?
Most likely. We can look for a pattern that is the same or similar. It also depends on whether or not I have enough of the same fabric in stock. In some cases I can order it.

How do I order?
Click on the website link at the top of the page. Some items posted have direct links. You can also message me or use the email and phone number listed.

What do you use other than fabric in the making of your doll clothes?
Ribbon, lace, bows, buttons, velcro, thread

What are Custom fabrics?
Custom fabrics are digital prints transferred to fabric. These fabrics are more expensive, but are worth the cost, especially when having something made for yourself or a child. They will stand the test of time and each base is so soft. I have a few favorite design groups: Oh So Pretty Custom Fabrics, Kammie Lou Lou, MK Designs, and MK Designs Unlimited

What size dolls do your doll clothes fit?
My focus is 18-inch dolls and 14.5-inch dolls. I have made clothes for 15-inch baby dolls as well. I also just got a 13-inch Dianna Effner doll and can’t wait to start making for her. If you have a doll that needs new clothes, I’d be happy to make something for it. I do custom orders.

Can I get that style in a different fabric?
Probably. I’d love to try to find what you’re looking for. For example, the nurse’s uniform can be made in many different designs from florals to animals.

Where do you get your fabrics?
JoAnns, Fabric.com, Threads and Stitches on Facebook and Etsy, various Etsy shops, Custom fabric shops

Where do you get your patterns?
My patterns come from several places. I love Pixie Faire for doll clothes. Violette Field Threads and Little Lizard King and Ellie and Mac have wonderful patterns for dolls, kids, and adults. I have found some great patterns on Etsy as well.

Can you make that in my size?
Most likely. We can look for a pattern that is the same or similar. It also depends on whether or not I have enough of the same fabric in stock. In some cases I can order it.

Are your doll shoes manufactured or handmade?
They are handmade. I use cardboard, fabric, hot glue, vinyl, and craft foam in their construction. I do not recommend washing them. You can do some spot cleaning with a slightly damp cloth.

Do you make matching kid and doll clothes?
Yes. I love making matching clothes for kids and their dolls.

Can I wash my doll clothes?
Yes. I recommend a handwash cycle and line drying to keep them looking new longer.

Do you own any of your own dolls?
Yes. I have two Wellie Wishers, a custom 18-inch American Girl doll, and a 13-inch Dianna Effner doll. My kids have some 15-inch baby dolls, 14.5-inch Glitter Girls, 18-inch Our Generation Dolls from Target, and a few American Girl dolls.

How did you get started selling doll clothes? / Why should I buy from you?
I have five daughters who loved and love dolls. They enjoy dressing them and are often asking for new clothes for their dolls. I’d buy new doll clothes at the store and they were falling apart at the seams within days. My mom and grandmothers instilled in me a love of sewing when I was young. That has stayed with me. They taught me the importance of doing quality work, making sure that the construction of anything I make is solid. If it doesn’t meet the high standards I’ve set for myself, I remake it.

Are there smokers in your home?
Nope. My home is smoke free. I only buy fabrics from smoke free shops as well.

Do you have pets?
Yes, we have Mini Australian Shepherds who love to keep me company when I’m sewing, a cat that lives outside, and a rabbit that isn’t anywhere near my fabric and work space.
